Mas de Roujol is situated in the south west of France, 1 hour from Toulouse and 1½ hours from Bordeaux & Bergerac. Perched on the edge of the plateau alongside the village of Brassac in the department of Tarn et Garonne. This once traditional farm is surrounded by 75 acres of its own land which includes a small working vinyard and orchard. Cereal & sunflowers are still grown, the remaining production being hay and the grazing of the resident horses.
The spacious accommodation is able to sleep 10 in 5 bedrooms; 3 x double rooms (1 of which is the self-contained suite) and 2 twin rooms on the first floor. There are 2 bathrooms plus 1 shower room & wc; and an additional wc upstairs. 2 x fitted kitchens (1 x main kitchen and 1 x galley kitchen) 2 x sitting rooms. It provides cool interior living areas during the summer with covered al fresco dining or sun-drenched open terraces to choose from.
During the winter months the open log fire and under-floor central heating, make for a cosy snug holiday base with plenty of space and things to do.
Part of the Gite is a self contained apartment which sleeps 2 and can be reserved separately some weeks of the year by those looking for a peaceful romantic get-away.
Outside there are private terraces and a 14x5m heated swimming pool; lawns and private grounds. The views extend south and east for some kilometers, and to the southwest on a clear day there are views of the pyrenees.
There are walks through the trees and down to the valleys; ruins to explore (one, an old bakery has a traditional brick bread-oven); wild flowers & stunning orchids in May, wild plums, brambles and figs to scrump throughout the summer. There are birds of prey; black kite, short-toed-eagles and buzzards; red squirrels and migrating Hoopoe, you may even see the deer.
